WINDOWS 7 GETS 36 NEW FEATURES, SUBTLE CHANGES
Microsoft has made 36 improvements and modifications to Windows 7 since it released a public beta of the OS in January, according to a post on the official Engineering Windows 7 blog. Many of the improvements are so small most people won't notice them. Microsoft has changed the number of times that notification windows flash to get the user's attention from three in the beta to seven in the release candidate, for instance. At the other end of the spectrum, a change to User Account Control has already received plenty of attention from beta testers

New Product: LOGITECH LAUNCHES PURE-FI EXPRESS PLUS WITH 'OMNI DIRECTIONAL ACOUSTICS'
Logitech has added the Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus omni directional speaker for iPod or iPhone to enhance its existing range of Pure-Fi iPod/ mp3 speakers. A first for iPod or iPhone speaker docks, Pure-Fi Express Plus offers omni directional acoustics.The new Logitech dock also features a wireless remote. With a range of up to 30 feet (10 meters), the remote lets users adjust volume, play, pause, fast forward, rewind, as well as offering Shuffle and Repeat buttons

New Product: SONY 24X DVD WRITER - AD-7240S
The 24x speed barrier for DVD drives has been breached a couple of times already and Sony has now entered this range with its AD-7240S, a new high-end DVD burner. The DVD Re-Writable AD-7240S. The AD-7240S' Auto Strategy Technology, which was first seen in the predecessor series AD-7200, ensures excellent burning quality.The DVD Re-Writable AD-7240S comes with a serial ATA interface.

New Product: AVG LAUNCHES AVG ISS 8.5 & AVG FREE 8.5
AVG today launched its next generation of products: AVG Internet Security Suite 8.5, and AVG Free 8.5. AVG users will now benefit from the Active Search and Active Surf technologies. AVG told PC Advisor that these features protect Web surfers by both keeping an updated list of undesirable websites, and screening inbound data on the fly. Both of these features leverage AVG's 80-million strong userbase, according to AVG.
